The Satori interior at dusk
Về chúng tôi · Our Story

A quiet
awakening
in Hanoi.

Inspired by the surrounding landscape, Satori was designed for the quiet stay Hoan Kiem Hanoi travellers remember: unique, comfortable, and memorable, in the heart of Hà Nội.

A letter from the founder

Dear future guest,

Travelling can be exhausting. Between the email on the plane and the taxi that took the long way, the day has already asked too much of you.

Satori began with a small, stubborn idea: that a stay in Hanoi could feel like an arrival, not a transaction. Our rooms are spacious. Our fares are reasonable. The service — and we mean this quietly — is unparalleled.

We know a hundred small things will shape how you remember your trip. The linen that holds a little cool on a July morning. The door that opens to a host, not a keycard. The bowl of phở we point you to on Tuesday, because Thursdays are for the other one.

Take a look at our rooms. Send us a note if something here speaks to you, or if it doesn't and you'd like us to try harder. Either way — we look forward to welcoming you soon.

What we believe

Five quiet convictions.

  1. 01

    Spaciousness is a luxury

Our rooms are deliberately larger than the local average. A stay should let you breathe — even when the city asks you not to.

  2. 02

    Competitive, on purpose

We price so long stays make sense. The traveller on a month-long sabbatical and the family on a four-night visit should both feel welcomed, not negotiated with.

  3. 03

    Service, not performance

No scripted greetings. No velvet ropes. A host who knows your name, a kitchen team who remembers you take your coffee cold.

  4. 04

    Local first

Our coffee is from Trung Nguyên's small-lot roaster. Our bánh mì comes from the bakery two doors down. Our soap is made in Ba Đình. Staying with us should put you, gently, inside the city.

  5. 05

    Rest is the product

Everything we choose — beds, curtains, soundproofing, light temperature — answers one question: will our guest sleep better here than they did last night?

How we got here

Six quiet years in Hoàn Kiếm.

  • 2019

    A single apartment

The Superior opens with three staff, one espresso machine, and a lot of optimism.

  • 2021

    The pandemic

We close to travellers and host neighbourhood friends instead — free coffee mornings in the lobby.

  • 2022

    The Garden Suite

Second floor renovated and opened. Our first balcony, and our most-requested room ever since.

  • 2023

    The 2-Bedroom Apartment

Long stays become our largest cohort. Sabbaticals, remote work, and slow travel lead the way.

  • 2025

    The Family Suite

Five rooms, four years of refining — children, pets, and grandparents all quietly welcomed.

  • Today

    Still slow, on purpose

We don't plan to grow quickly. We plan to grow well.
